A recent craft activity at Sweetgrass gathered residents for a creative and social time. A variety of crafts were available including wood painting, and decorating picture frames and wooden baskets. Everyone got to take something home.

Residents who worked on the frames were able to add their own photos. The ones with baskets were able to add their own treasures, and the painters had sweet new decorations for their suites.

Recreation coordinator Mailyn Fornoles says residents were very happy with the finished crafts, and the process – which included visiting over coffee and a slice of pie. She adds, “Crafting boosts happiness, improves focus and attention, and improves memory.”
