Residents at Sweetgrass were treated to a very tasty, ‘green’ St. Patrick’s luncheon on March 15. The enviable desserts were created by the newest member of the food services team, and the party gave the community’s newest residents a great taste of Sweetgrass.

The main dining room was decorated in green, most employee care partners wore green, and just about everyone donned a string of green beads to embrace their inner Irish. There was a lot of green on the menu too, from pickles and sauces to a wonderful selection of green desserts. New kitchen care partner, Jacqueline Hedin did a wonderful job on the desserts with green jellies, donut-holes, and cupcakes.

It was the first community party for three new residents, Seraphine Gladue, Rita Cyr and Tom Tadashi, and according to recreation coordinator Mailyn Fornoles, “It was an awesome party for their first-time experience here at Sweetgrass.”

Maintenance man Greg Lacombe provided musical entertainment during the lunch, and the raffle draw for a gift card and a bouquet of flowers was won by HCA care partner Allie.
